10 Days Tanzania Bush and Beach: Highlights

Day 1: Arrival, Transfer Arusha Coffee Lodge
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by a member of our team who will transfer you by road to Arusha Coffee Lodge . Arusha is situated beneath the towering peaks of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro. Visit the extraordinary social enterprise Shanga that employs disabled people from the community to create export quality recycled glass products Go on the exciting and informative ‘Coffee Tour’, weaving in and out of the evergreen coffee trees, the coffee guide explains how the bean is nurtured, harvested, dried and finally roasted to produce a myriad of different blends that sate the taste of the most ardent of coffee connoisseurs Stay: Arusha Coffee Lodge.
Days 2-3: Lake Manyara
You will be met by your guide for your 2-3 hour drive in your 4 x 4 safari vehicle to Lake Manyara National Park. Once checked in at the gate, you will continue on a leisurely game drive to the lodge On route stop in at some of the local villages, especially Mto Wa Mbu, to get an understanding for the agricultural practises and various tribes that have settled here. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon game drive, followed by sundowners on the picturesque lakeshore, where you can admire seasonal pink flocks of flamingos. Stay: 3 nights at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge
Day 4-5: Ngorongoro Crater
Take a game drive through Manyara Park and up the escarpment towards the misty Crater highlands. Enjoy the productive farming area you drive through and stop at a local vegetable farm if you would like to on route to the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge Discover breath-taking wildlife on the spectacular Crater floor game drive, the game viewing on the Crater floor is sensational, as this unique eco system supports an abundance of game – look out for the Big Five!
If you would like to stretch your legs or get in touch with the surrounds, there are a number of hikes and walks – Empakai walk is a full day, but startlingly beautiful and well worth it. An area of vast natural beauty, on clear days the Crater offers views of Ol Doinyo Lengai, Tanzania’s most recently active volcano. If you prefer a gentler stroll, wander along the crater rim to take in the spectacular views. Dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.
Day 6-7: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you will safari landcruisers enroute to the famous Serengeti National Park on arrival you will check in at the Singita Sasakwa Lodge. With a highly-elevated position providing soaring views of the Serengeti plains below, Singita Sasakwa Lodge brings together a mesmerising blend of European and East African influences in its stately Manor House and limited amount of private Cottages. From the lodge, observe the game-dotted expanse or venture down on horseback to wander among wildebeest and giraffes.
The Serengeti National Park is on the bucket list of many a discerning traveller – and for good reason. In conjunction with the adjacent Maasai Mara National Reserve, the Serengeti is the stage of 'the greatest wildlife show on earth', namely the Great Migration. This magnificent wildlife arena has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guests can choose between spending their days traversing the Serengeti plains in a game vehicle, on foot or horseback.
Singita Sasakwa Lodge’s turn-of-the-century Manor House is adorned with wooden floors, lanterns and walls lined with vintage frames. Guests can enjoy meals indoors or dine al fresco at a linen-draped long table found in the dappled shade of acacia trees. Each of the Cottages boasts a private infinity pool and elaborately decorated interiors. Day 8-10: Zanzibar Island
Depart by road to the Airstrip, where you will board your scheduled flight to Zanzibar Airport. On arrival in Zanzibar you will be met by our representative who will assist with your transfer Essque Zalu. Essque Zalu Zanzibar is beautifully located on the far northern coast of Zanzibar, just 10 minutes drive from the buzz of Nungwi. Essque Zalu is stylish and very chic – and boasts one of the biggest makuti roofs.
Vast stretches of white sand, blanketed by colourful shells and met by azure blue waters. Nungwi, nestled on Zanzibar Islands northernmost tip, is a major beach holiday destination. If you're looking for an action-packed beach holiday with plenty of water sports, restaurants, and nightlife, Nungwi is an excellent choice.
Your trip to Zanzibar comes with surprises on every corner of the Island. To experience this heaven of corals and sea life, visit our dive centre by the poolside. Explore a range of non-motorized activities like kayaking, pedalo, paddle board and snorkelling sessions. Deep-sea fishing, water-skiing and other activities are also available. Official PADI dive courses are available for those who look to learn and earn a certificate or just for leisure.
Day 8: Departure, Fly Dar Es Salaam
Depart by boat to the crossing point, where a member of our team will meet and transfer you to Zanzibar International Airport for your flight to Dar es Salaam Domestic Airport. On arrival at the Domestic Terminal of Dar es Salaam International Airport you will be met by a representative and transferred to the International Terminal for your outbound flight.
